Panjiayuan, also called the "Dirt Market" is a big outdoor market in Beijing.
There's lots of stuff. My favourite area was the used books section. Old magazines, calendars, records and, uh, Saddam playing cards were to be found here.
This lady had three frogs of three different colours in a bag. She was sorting out what looked like dried fruit or walnuts on the pavement.
And the market just goes on and on.
I bought a few things here and there, getting more confident with the haggling, which is half technique and half just getting a realistic sense of cost.
I got these sunglasses, but they look better on this dude. Darn.
We left and walked to a nearby park with a lake. Kids were having fun floating in plastic bubbles, shooting guns and fishing for goldfish.
In Korea, girls will wear high heels daily. In China, wearing sneakers to your wedding shoot is okay as long as they're not in the shot.
Some street gambling.
Fake-achu.
We ended the day with some delicious Peking Duck and a professional foot massage -- my first massage ever. I was being pampered for reals.
